Good morning all! It looks like a repeat of yesterday, except those who still have jobs will be going to work in it. Well, those or certain government employees anyway ...


On this date in 1947, President Truman signed the National Security Act, creating the Department of Defense, the National Security Council, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

before Truman reorganiaed it, it was called the War Department and we won all of our wars. I not sure that he did us any real favors.

I like War Department better. If you're in the business of making war (and ending them) then being the War Department makes perfect sense.

Either that or we should rename the Water Department the Department of Liquid Delivery.

other then defeating the Natziswho killed over six million jews, and the Japanese who where slauthering the Chines { like the rape of nanking in 1936, where over one hundred Chinese were slautered after the city surrened} and stopping the expansion of communism which killed about 100 million in the 20th century, stopping Saddam Husan and tring to stop musilum fanatic, i just can't immagine much else.
